FEATURE: Anyone fancy a LaClandestine Marmite Absinthe?

Marmite Absinthe… an extremely acquired taste…

Before you ask, this bottle is NOT REAL! It is part of a project on Pinterest by Swiss Absinthe Producer, La Clandestine, called Drawing Board Absinthes

“Students and designers love creating absinthe bottles, frequently with no consideration of costings or of what makes a good absinthe. To date, none of these packs have ever been launched, but they still deserve to be remembered: as memorabilia that provide further proof of the fascination of absinthe.”La Clandestine Absinthe

According to La Clandestine, today is the 104th anniversry of the Swiss vote to ban absinthe. Fortunately for them, that ban was lifted in 2005.

  1. I’m flattered that you call my Pinboard a project, but it’s really only a place to assemble the creative ideas of others who are designing absinthe bottles that they have no intention of launching. I want to collate them so that they don’t get forgotten or, worse still, lost.

It was fascinating to see the divergent reaction to the Marmite concept: as many people seem to love it as to hate it. Maybe someone else should launch it!

    • I think your Pinboard is an awesome idea. Great way to get some creative input and to get Absinthe in the public eye. It’s a great category and the more awareness you can build the better. Fantastic effort.

  2. I made this image as part of a competition with Marmite/Unilever.
