This is a fantastic shot of Vietnamese Summer Rolls (Goi Cuon) from London blogger Mr Noodles (Twitter: @EatLoveNoodles) at popular budget Vietnamese restaurant Song Que.

Vietnamese Summer Rolls are a healthier version of Chinese Spring rolls. Like their Chinese counterpart, they are often stuffed with prawns or pork, but unlike the Chinese version, they are NOT fried but served cold.

Mr Noodles is a food blogger who… loves noodles! His detailed posts appear approximately once a week or so, with great no-nonsense photos. Take a look at his recent (Jun/Jul 2012) entries about his dining adventures in China.

Song Que is one of the best known Vietnamese restaurants in London and perennial favourite with students and businessmen alike. If you’ve never visited them on Kingsland Road I will warn you now, the southern, Shoreditch, end is essentially a strip of Vietnamese eateries adjacent to each other all vying for your culinary attention, don’t get distracted!
