Food Network’s ‘Street Feasts’ presenter Andy Bates can be found at Eat Street, Kings Cross, peddling his wares to the ravenous public. As the name “Eat My Pies” suggests, he sells pies, but I was more interested in his Scotch Eggs today. This is his “Thai Red Curry Pork Scotch Egg” sliced ‘in twain’ and served with a dash of sweet Thai sauce.
The egg had a gloriously soft yolk with a lovely firm white all wrapped in a nice thick casing of pork and breadcrumb. A great twist on very British cuisine and very tasty.
