Tateossian’s non-Olympic breaching display

Loving these linked bracelets on display at Tateossian on The Kings Road in Chelsea.

The Olympic machine has a LOT of money and influence, with stories of logos covered up in Olympic toilets (as the manufacturer isn’t an Olympic sponsor); and the issue of ‘fries’ becoming the sole property of McDonalds; it’s not a surprise that some London based retailers are finding ingenious ways of ‘hinting’ about an event that has become bigger than Christmas in the minds of the public.

I posted up a similar clever display from Yauatcha in Soho at the start of the Olympics. The cake shop elegantly arranged their macarons in exactly the same fashion on gold, silver and bronze gravel backgrounds (see this).

Where will this end? Maybe the Greek Government should charge The Olympic Committee for their derivation of the word Olympia, where the original games were held… it could help pay down some debt…
