21-31 New Oxford St, Holborn, London, WC1A 1AA
This was the awesome exhibition by artist Mr Brainwash (aka Thierry Guetta) which closed on Sunday. Hailed as the US answer to Bansky, his show occupied the entire Old Royal Mail Sorting Office building in Holborn.
Highlights include a huge gorilla made from old tyres, Mickey Mouse made from scrap metal and various pop icons made from old vinyl records.
For those of you who didn’t make it over to Holborn, here are some photos of the exhibition. Unlike most exhibitions, there was a distinct absence of “NO PHOTOGRAPHY” signs and there were plenty of tourists openly taking pictures so I do not believe there are any copyright issues. (Especially as this blog doesn’t attempt to earn any income). I did send a twitter message to Mr Brainwash asking if he objected to this, but I didn’t receive a reply.
