NEWS: @BBCNews interview customers and traders at @KERB_ KX #BattleAgainstTheBland
The shock closure of the KERB street-food market at The Gherkin has generated a lot of interest from both street-food vendors and street-food fans. Today BBC News visited KERB KX to gain reactions from surprised vendors including Horn OK Please and fledglings Tacochu who are ‘inKERBating’ under KERB‘s new trader program.
For those who haven’t met Tacochu, they are a new ‘Okinawa-style Taco Rice’ stall. Petra Barron of KERB tells me that food evolved when US Soldiers brought their love of Tex Mex tacos with them to Japan. I was most amused by their Godzilla “All of the above” Taco option!
Also on the street today were Daisy Green (Frozen Yoghurt), The Real Greek, Horn OK Please, Tongue’N’Cheeks, The Grilling Greek, and Prarie Fire BBQ
In the meantime, support for KERB continues to grow with the online petition to reinstate KERB‘s Street Food Market at The Gherkin reaching over 1,700 signatures.
